THEME
The theme of this contest is “TOKENIZING NIGERIA’S HISTORY AND HEROES”
We’re recognizing;
- Nigeria’s present Heroes in every frontier — create content about people who inspire you in Nigeria to Nation Building.
- Nigeria’s Past Heroes.
- Nigeria’s Notable events.
You can tokenize new or old contents, provided you have the creative rights to them, they could be a song, artwork, poetry, photography, fashion piece, etc.
So here are the steps to take —
STEP 1: CONTENT
You can gain inspiration from already existing content about Nigeria’s heroes and events etc to create yours, so if it’s a photograph, digital art, video clip, etc you can mint them and make them an NFT on QLIP.
STEP 2: TOKENIZE YOUR CONTENT
First, you need to connect your wallet (top right part of the website) to app.qlipit.io.
If you don’t have a wallet, you need to start by downloading MetaMask for PC and Mobile then set up BSC MAIN-NET NETWORK.
And you need to have BNB, if you don’t have any BNB please fill the form and send a message to Crypto Smart Market Place with the Note “I want to Buy BNB”
Second, click on “CREATE” to start the minting process.
Third, click on “SINGLE” to mint (Our Multiple Function isn’t ready yet)
Fourth, Click on the “BROWSE FILES” area to upload a file. It could be jpeg, video, audio, etc.
Next, fill in the details of your content, these are important as they make up the MetaData for your NFT;
- Name your content
- Describe it, with the events relating to it.
- Input the properties of your content, like its size, character makeup, etc.
- Select the category and if you don’t find your category just select “Art”
- Set the price for your NFT (DON’T SET ABOVE 0.1 BNB, YOU WILL NOT BE SELECTED AS WINNER IF YOU DO)
Make sure to set your price at 0.05 BNB or 0.1BNB
Next toggle the “PUT ON SALE” button and the rest buttons under it, to the right (we fixing this already, we know there should be an indicator).
Then click on “CREATE ITEM”
And finally, for this stage, click the “Start” button on the “UPLOAD FILES AND MINT TOKEN” area.
Congratulations you’re about to mint your NFT!
The next thing you have to do is pay the minting fees (Don’t worry, they’re not up to 1$, that’s why we built QLIP on Binance Smart Chain)
There are 3 transactions to approve;
- Tx 1: Mint the NFT (ONLY FOR MINTING)
- Tx2: Approve the marketplace to set the token
- Tx3: Set the token on sale on the marketplace
Confirm the transactions and you’re ready to go!
STEP 3: TAG US
Use the hashtags #proudlynigerian #qlip #NFT (We omitted that last # in the video).
Post the share link to your NFT and its picture on Twitter or Instagram and tag us.
